The Vallejo Barbarians played the Stanislas Harlots on Saturday December 13 at our Home Morton Field on Mare Island. A beautiful day, a fine pitch and a great group of fans provided the back drop for a great match.
The Barbarians scored the first try and never looked back. The final score was Barbarians 23 Stanislas 0.
The High light of the day was the fact we had the use of Morton Field again. We completed an agreement with Lennar Mare Island on December 10, 2008. The Vallejo Rigby Club and Lennar Mare Island agreed that Vallejo Rugby Club will maintain the field and pay for the use of the lights and the irrigation on a month month basis. The Vallejo Rugby Club hopes to attract other sports who need a field on which to play. This can help the club with the costs. The Vallejo Rugby Club is seeking finamcial supporters in any amount. Our Next match is on January 3, 2009 against McGeorge Law School Rugby team. We invite the entire community to come join us.
